Coronavirus Update –

It is with great sadness that we have had to close our clinic for now to prevent further spread of this virus and we will be calling patients with appointments booked.

I will be posting videos on our YouTube and Facebook channels, so follow those if you want to get some updates and general health and fitness ideas.

We will let past patients and people on our newsletter list know when we can open again and in the meantime we hope you all stay healthy and safe.

Sorry, we have had to close our clinic but…

We can also still offer video consultations over Zoom, where we can provide a diagnosis, advice and exercises. These will be priced at £35 and will last 45 minutes. When we have done this before, patients found them very helpful and gave good feedback, so I’m sure we can help many people more using this model.

It is very easy to set up and if youy want to give it just call us on 01245 522360.

Staying healthy

We advise you to do the same things as we always recommend – eat freshly cooked food (mostly vegetables), go to bed early, exercise regularly without over-doing it and try to get fresh air and sunlight. All these things will help maintain a solid immune system.

And try not to worry! We can’t control what is going on in the world around us but we can stay on top of our own hygeine and health, both physical and mental, and stay focussed on that for now.

How osteopathy can help you

A lot of people battle on through their pain and restricted movement because they are not sure whether osteopathy treatment would help, don’t know who is best to treat them (an osteopath or physiotherapist or chiropractor) or can’t get an appointment with their doctor or an NHS osteopath. Conditions that could easily be treated are allowed to get worse or could become chronic long-term problems.

Our Chelmsford osteopaths are highly skilled and experienced practitioners who qualify after 4 years of full-time study, are registered with the General Osteopathic Council and are experienced in effectively treating a wide range of conditions using touch, manipulation, stretching and massage to increase joint mobility and reduce muscle tension.

Private health insurance

Osteopathy is often covered by private health insurance, but in some cases it is an additional element of the policy or you may need to get a referral from your GP or approval in advance. It is best to contact your insurer and ask about the details and process for your particular policy. We can invoice direct to the insurer if appropriate.
